By creating an account or using CPAtutor AI (“the Service”), operated by Certprep.ai (“we,” “us,” or “our”), located in Ohio, United States, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
CPAtutor AI is an online CPA exam preparation platform that provides practice questions, adaptive learning tools, performance analytics, and targeted remediation. The platform covers all six CPA Evolution exam sections (AUD, FAR, REG, BAR, ISC, TCP). Content is generated and validated through a multi-step quality pipeline aligned to official AICPA blueprint objectives. CPAtutor AI is not legal, accounting, or professional advice. The Service is intended for educational and exam preparation purposes only.
Accounts are licensed, not sold, to you. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate, current information during registration. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
CPAtutor AI offers free and paid subscription plans. Key billing terms include:
Recurring Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing cycle.
Founding Member Pricing: Founding member rates are locked for the lifetime of your continuous subscription. If you cancel and re-subscribe, standard pricing applies.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: Except as required by law, all payments are non-refundable. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle. In cases of billing error, please contact us within 7 days of the charge at support@cpatutor.ai. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension.
Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice. Price changes do not apply to active Founding Member subscriptions.
All content on CPAtutor AI — including practice questions, explanations, analytics, and interface design — is the intellectual property of Certprep.ai and is protected by applicable copyright laws.
You may use the content solely for personal CPA exam preparation. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or publicly display any content from the platform. Sharing account credentials to give others access to paid content is prohibited.
Certain questions, explanations, and feedback on CPAtutor AI are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence systems. While we implement multi-step quality controls including validation pipelines, citation verification, and difficulty calibration, we do not guarantee that all content will be error-free.
Users are responsible for independently verifying important information. If you identify an error in any question or explanation, please report it to support@cpatutor.ai and we will review and correct it.
CPAtutor AI is a supplemental study tool. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing the CPA exam. Our content is designed to help you prepare, but exam outcomes depend on many factors including your individual preparation, study habits, and background knowledge. CPAtutor AI is not affiliated with or endorsed by the AICPA, NASBA, or any state board of accountancy.
You agree not to use the Service to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract content from the platform, share or redistribute questions or explanations, use automated tools or bots to access the Service, interfere with or disrupt the platform or its infrastructure, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Certprep.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or failure to pass the CPA exam. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms the platform or other users. Upon termination, your right to access paid content immediately ceases. Sections related to intellectual property, limitation of liability, disclaimer of warranties, dispute resolution, and governing law survive termination.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive the right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.
You waive the right to a jury trial for any dispute arising under these Terms. This arbitration agreement shall survive termination of your account or these Terms.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of nature, internet or hosting outages, third-party service provider disruptions, government actions, or other force majeure events.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. government sanctions or embargoes, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when possible. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the changes.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
